About Carlyon

Fuel Projects. Fuel Systems. Fuel Everything.

Fuel Infrastructure Experts

Carlyon is a privately owned New Zealand company focused on fuel and oil infrastructure. We consult, design, engineer, manufacture, install and service - so you get one accountable partner from concept to completion. We’ve been doing this since 1986.

Who
we are

We operate as five connected business units - Servicing, Projects, Engineering, Manufacturing, Products - which means fewer hand‑offs and faster decisions. The team is based in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga and Palmerston North, with nationwide coverage.

We’re experienced across NZ and work with partners around Australia and the Pacific on technically demanding jobs. End‑to‑end involvement is where we add the most value, but we can slot in at any stage.

OUR FOUR PILLARS

These pillars guide how we design, build and deliver every Carlyon solution. They keep us focused on doing things properly, building in-house, and delivering systems you can rely on when it matters most.

End-to-End

One team from concept to completion.

Carlyon isn’t just a supplier - we’re your project partner. We specify, design, engineer, manufacture, install and service the most complex fuel systems entirely in-house. That means fewer moving parts, faster decisions and a cleaner result. End-to-end involvement is where we add the most value.

First, we listen.

Then we get to work.

Our team has a refreshing engagement style. We’re good communicators, open to other points of view, and super-collaborative project partners.

Experienced & Reliable

Four decades of showing the industry how it’s done.

Since 1986, Carlyon has been trusted on some of New Zealand’s most critical fuel infrastructure projects - from Air New Zealand and Auckland Hospital to Waitomo Fuel. Our people are seasoned professionals who deliver what they promise - on time, on budget, without the drama.

Safety

Safety underpins everything.

Fuel and chemical infrastructure demands absolute precision. Carlyon is ISN-certified, BP-approved and ROHS-compliant, meeting or exceeding international standards. We engineer safety into every design, every weld, every site process—because in this business, “good enough” isn’t good enough.

OUR DIFFERENCE

Built by us

We design and fabricate our own storage and dispensing equipment in NZ, then integrate it with the systems we engineer. Quality control stays tight.

Proven where it counts

Trusted on complex, mission‑critical projects, with long‑term relationships across consulting firms and blue‑chip operators.

 Service that stays close

Our technicians are positioned where they’re needed and backed by the same engineering brains that built your system.

Safety designed in

Compliance is table stakes; we design for real‑world resilience and document what regulators need to see.
