Our History
1986
Carlyon Civil Construction (CCC) started under Malcolm Carlyon to meet the needs of the petroleum industry. Nick Murray joined as a shareholder in 2009 and grew the business by signing Service Level Agreements with several key customers.
2001
David Kraakman bought Petroleum Services (2001) Ltd in and successfully grew the business over 18 years. PSL provided a full range of services, projects and manufactured products to customers throughout New Zealand.
2018
In 2018, David bought Malcom’s shareholding in CCC and joined with Nick. The Board appointed a General Manager and the strategy was then to join PSL & CCC into a single entity over the coming year.
2019
PSL & CCC was officially amalgamated and became known as “Carlyon”. The benefits include a scalable business, greater depth & breadth of skill, a defined strategy and improved geographical coverage.
